How Much Do Netflix Prices Vary Across the Globe?
Where Netflix costs cheap and costly and why?
Netflix is a video streaming service where you can watch lots of content, well to be approximate on average Netflix has 5000+ (growing every year) TV shows and movies that may vary depending on your location.
Netflix is subscription based business model with three types of plans Basic, Standard, and Premium with its revenue increasing every consecutive year. To be able to access the content in Netflix you need to subscribe to one of the three plans(basic, standard, premium). The subscription fee of Netflix varies from one country depending on various factors.
Top 5 countries where the subscription fee is least
Turkey, India, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil have the lowest subscription fee for any plan. For basic plan the fee is less than 5 dollars (USD) for any of these 5. For Standard and Premium only Turkey has <5USD fee rest have less than 10USD.
In Asia, Turkey, India, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand are the top 5 lowest. In Europe it's Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania. In Americas Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Chile have the lowest.
Top 5 Countries where the subscription fee is highest
Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Denmark, Sweden, Israel have the highest for Basic plan with each more than 10 dollars (USD). Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Belgium, France, Israel have the highest in Standard Plan with each above 15 dollars (USD) and Switzerland, Liechtenstein crossing 20 USD. For Premium plan Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Austria, Italy have the highest fee each crossing 20 dollars.
In Asia Israel, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan are top 5 countries. In Europe Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, San Marino, Ireland have highest fee. In Americas United States, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Canada, Paraguay are the top 5.
On average(mean value) it costs 8 dollars for Basic, 12 dollars for Standard, 15 dollars Premium in any country. Region wise the average fees in Europe are high compared to Asia and Americas.
Does Netflix provide more content if you are paying more?
No. The prices are not dependent on the library size alone rather it varies from country to country, which may depend on the operating costs in the country etc. Below graph shows the no of TV shows vs no of Movies in each country. In most countries there's more Movies than TV shows. While the no of movies in each country is different, The no of TV shows in each country lies in the range 1500 to 2200.

What may be the deciding factor in determining the subscription prices?
There are many deciding factors that are involved in determining the Netflix subscription fee in a country, one factor that strongly correlates in determining the prices is GDP per Capita of a country. GDP is the sum of goods and services a country has basically how much wealth it has. GDP per capita is the GDP divided by the population of the country which tries to find how productive each person in the economy is.
